The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV6902-1DV0 is a shunt release designed to remotely trip a motor circuit breaker on command. It mounts directly onto the breaker frame via snap-on fastening, occupying the accessory slot on S00 and S0 size SIRIUS 3RV circuit breakers. Control voltage is AC 330...500 V at 50/60 Hz for 5-second ED, or AC 350...415 V at 50/60 Hz for 100% ED; DC 330...500 V is also supported at 5-second ED. Screw-type terminals handle the auxiliary and control circuit connection.
The 13 W minimum closing power (DC) means the release coil needs a control supply capable of delivering that power to latch the trip mechanism — a standard 24 VDC PLC output won't drive this directly; you need a separate relay or contactor rated for the coil's inrush. Maximum break time of 20 ms ensures the shunt release opens the breaker contacts faster than most upstream protection coordination windows — so the motor circuit breaker clears before a feeding MCCB's short-time delay elapses.
