The Siemens 3RW3013-2BB04 is a SIRIUS soft starter in the compact Size S00 frame, rated for motor starting duty at 3.6 A continuous at 40 °C, derating to 3.3 A at 50 °C and 3.0 A at 60 °C. Control voltage is 24 V AC, accepting 50 or 60 Hz. The unit uses thyristor-based voltage ramp control to limit inrush current during motor start, then the integrated bypass contact system closes to take the thyristors out of circuit once the motor is at speed — reducing heat dissipation in the power section during run.
Vertical mounting surface with ±10° rotation and ±10° tilt front-to-back is permitted. Minimum load is 10% of the rated current — below that, the soft starter may not trigger reliably. Clearance: 60 mm upward, 40 mm downward, 15 mm at the side. Maximum motor cable length is 300 m.
No motor overload protection or intrinsic device protection is built in — an upstream motor protection breaker (e.g., a 3RV2 series) is required. No inside-delta circuit configuration is supported; this is a standard in-line soft starter.
