The Siemens 3RW3018-1BB04 is a SIRIUS soft starter in the S00 frame (45 mm wide, 95 mm high, 150 mm deep), rated 17.6 A at 40 °C, 17 A at 50 °C, and 14 A at 60 °C. Control voltage is 24 V at both 50 and 60 Hz. Minimum load is 10% of the rated current — below that, the soft starter may not trigger reliably; size the motor so the start current exceeds 10% of the device rating. No internal motor overload protection and no intrinsic device protection — external overload relay is required per code.
