The 3RW4026-2TB04: Spring-loaded terminals on both the main current circuit and the auxiliary/control circuit mean no screw torque to check; strip and insert solid or ferruled stranded wire up to 2.5 mm². Clearance: 60 mm above, 40 mm below, 15 mm at the side for airflow — the derating curve starts at 40 °C ambient, so pack the cabinet with that in mind.
Current derating and the integrated bypass — what the 25 A rating actually means
An integrated bypass contact system closes after start-up, shunting the thyristors and cutting heat dissipation in the cabinet during run — this is what lets the S0 frame handle 25 A continuous without a fan at 40 °C. Adjustable current limitation lets you set the start current between 20 % and 100 % of the soft starter's rated current, matching the motor's inrush characteristic without oversizing the starter.
Active production — no end-of-life watch needed
Motor overload protection and intrinsic device protection are built in — no separate overload relay needed for most applications, which simplifies the BOM and panel wiring. Insulation voltage rated 600 V, pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2 — suitable for industrial environments with conductive dust or condensation.
Mounting position and cable length constraints
With the optional fan, the unit can be mounted on a vertical surface and rotated ±90° or tilted ±22.5° front-to-back; without the fan, rotation is limited to ±10°. Maximum motor cable length is 300 m — beyond that, capacitive charging current from the cable can interfere with the thyristor firing and cause nuisance trips. External reset input and a red LED fault signal give the technician a clear indication and remote reset capability without opening the panel door.
