32 A continuous — what it means for the motor
The 3RW4027-2BB05: The 32 A rating at 40 °C sets the maximum continuous motor current this soft starter can handle in a standard 40 °C panel ambient. With an integrated bypass contact system, once the motor reaches full speed the thyristors are shorted out, eliminating semiconductor conduction losses during run. This means the 32 A rating is for the start transient only; the bypass carries the continuous load with no additional heat sink burden.
S0 frame, 45 mm — panel fit and wiring
The S0 frame is the compact Siemens soft starter chassis — 45 mm wide, 150 mm high, 155 mm deep. Spring-loaded terminals on both the main current circuit and auxiliary/control circuit mean no screwdriver needed for wiring — strip, push, done.
Built-in overload and current limit
Motor overload protection is integrated — no separate thermal relay needed. The adjustable current limitation lets you set the starting current between 20% and the rated current, reducing mechanical stress on the driven load and voltage drop on the line. External reset allows an automated restart signal from the controller.
