The Siemens 3RW4046-2BB05 is a SIRIUS soft starter in Size S3, designed to reduce inrush current and mechanical stress during motor startup. It is rated 80 A at 40 °C, with derated values of 73 A at 50 °C and 66 A at 60 °C, per the specification. The 24 V control voltage (50/60 Hz) operates the thyristor stack, and the unit includes adjustable current limitation and integrated motor overload protection.

The unit measures 170 mm high, 70 mm wide, and 190 mm deep. Clearance requirements are 60 mm upward, 40 mm downward, and 30 mm at the side. The mounting position allows vertical surface rotation of ±90° with an additional fan, or ±10° without.
