106 A at 40 °C — derating and ambient limits
The 3RW4047-2TB05: This derating profile means the continuous motor current must be checked against the enclosure ambient temperature — a panel running at 50 °C derates the unit by about 8 %.
Screw terminals and wire ranges
Main circuit connections use screw-type terminals accepting 2x (7... 1/0) AWG or 2x (10... 70 mm²) stranded. The clamping system accommodates both front and back entry, with a maximum motor cable length of 300 m.
Mounting and clearance
Fastening method is screw and snap-on mounting to DIN rail. Dimensions: 70 mm wide, 170 mm high, 190 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 60 mm upwards, 40 mm downwards, 30 mm at the side. With additional fan, the unit can be rotated ±90° on a vertical surface and tilted ±22.5° front/back; without fan, rotation and tilt are limited to ±10°.
Protection and control features
Integrated motor overload protection and intrinsic device protection are standard. Adjustable current limitation allows setting the starting current between 20 % and 100 % of the rated motor current. External reset is supported. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2 suits industrial environments with conductive contamination.
