The 3RW4055-2BB34: That 40 °C figure is the nameplate rating — if your panel ambient runs hotter, size against the derated value, not the headline number. Motor overload protection is built in, and the current limitation is adjustable — you set the starting current ceiling as a percentage of the motor FLA, minimum 20 %. The thyristor stack handles the ramp with no mechanical contact wear. Insulation voltage is rated 600 V, operating frequency covers 50...60 Hz — fits global line supplies. Maximum motor cable run is 300 m; beyond that, voltage drop and reflected-wave effects need checking.
Size S6 — panel cutout and mounting constraints
This is a size S6 frame: 250 mm deep, 120 mm wide, 198 mm tall. Fastening is screw fixing — no DIN-rail clip. Clearance above the unit needs 100 mm, below 75 mm, and only 5 mm at the sides — tight side-by-side mounting is possible. Mounting position is flexible: with the optional fan, the unit mounts vertical with +/-90° rotation and +/-22.5° tilt front-to-back. Without the fan, rotation is limited to +/-10°. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2 — rated for conductive-dust industrial environments.
Wiring — main and control terminals
Main current circuit connection is busbar. The front and back clamping points accept 6 AWG to 2/0; using both clamping points together maxes out at 2x 1/0. Stranded wire range is 2x (25...120 mm²), finely stranded 2x (16...95 mm²).
