134 A at 40 °C — the rating that sizes the motor branch
The 3RW4055-6BB45: That 40 °C figure is the reference for motor full-load current matching — if your panel ambient runs hotter, use the derated value for the BOM line. Built-in motor overload protection and adjustable current limitation mean you don't need a separate overload relay in most installations — the soft starter handles both ramp control and thermal protection in one device. Intrinsic device protection covers the thyristors and control electronics against fault conditions.
Size S6 frame — panel cutout and wiring constraints
Size S6 defines the physical envelope: 198 mm height, 120 mm width, 250 mm depth. Mounting is screw fixing with specific orientation limits — with the optional fan, the unit can be rotated ±90° on a vertical surface and tilted ±22.5° front/back; without the fan, rotation is limited to ±10° and tilt to ±10°. Main circuit wiring accepts busbar connection or cable: 2x (25–120 mm²) stranded, 2x (16–95 mm²) finely stranded, or 4–250 kcmil. Auxiliary contacts take 2x (20–14 AWG). Clearance around the unit: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 5 mm at the sides.
230 V control, 600 V insulation — system voltage fit
The insulation voltage is rated 600 V, so the unit fits 400 V and 480 V systems with headroom. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2 means it's rated for industrial environments with conductive pollution — no derating needed for dirty panel air. The minimum load is 20% — below that the motor may not start reliably. Maximum motor cable length is 300 m.
