Motor protection and control features
The 3RW4056-2BB44: Built-in motor overload protection with adjustable current limitation — set the current limit between 20% and 100% of the rated current via the front-panel potentiometer; the minimum load is 20% of the motor FLA, so a lightly loaded pump or fan may need a bypass contactor. External reset input allows remote restart after a fault, useful for unattended installations or remote pump stations.
Mounting and panel integration
Screw fixing to a vertical mounting surface; without an additional fan the unit can be rotated ±10° and tilted ±10° front/back — with the optional fan the rotation range opens to ±90° and tilt to ±22.5°, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. Clearance requirements: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 5 mm at the sides — the 5 mm side gap is tight; ensure the enclosure depth accommodates the 250 mm depth plus cable bending radius.
Termination and wiring
Maximum motor cable length is 300 m — beyond that, reflected wave voltage spikes may stress the motor insulation; use a dv/dt filter for longer runs.
