Sizing and thermal derating for the panel
The 3RW4056-6BB34: The S6 frame size (120 mm wide, 198 mm high, 250 mm deep) fits a standard 600 mm deep enclosure with room for the busbar connections on the main circuit and the auxiliary terminal blocks above.
Mounting and ventilation constraints
Mounting is screw-fixing to a vertical surface. With the additional fan fitted, the unit can be rotated ±90° or tilted ±22.5° front-to-back; without the fan, rotation is limited to ±10° and tilt to ±10° — the fan option buys you installation flexibility in tight cabinets. Clearance requirements: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 5 mm at the sides — the vertical gap is the critical one for hot air rising off the heatsink.
Motor protection and control features
Built-in motor overload protection (no separate overload relay needed) and adjustable current limitation let you set the start current between 20% and the full rated current — useful for gentle starts on conveyors or pumps where mechanical shock is a concern.
Termination and wiring
Main circuit connection uses busbar or cable lugs: the front and back clamping points accept 6 AWG to 2/0, and using both clamping points together handles up to 2x 1/0.
