432 A at 40 °C — the thermal ceiling for motor starting
The 3RW4076-2BB34: That 40 °C figure is the common panel ambient in a ventilated enclosure; if your panel runs hotter, the usable current drops — plan the motor FLA against the derated value at your actual ambient, not the headline 432 A. Motor overload protection is integrated per IEC 60947-4-2, so you skip a separate overload relay in the power circuit. The adjustable current limitation lets you tune the start ramp to the load — soft-start current can be set below the motor locked-rotor draw, which matters for conveyors and pumps that don't need full torque at zero speed.
S12 frame — panel cutout and wiring constraints
Physical envelope is 230 mm high by 160 mm wide by 278 mm deep — the S12 frame size. Screw fixing to the mounting surface; busbar connection for the main current circuit, accepting stranded cable 70–240 mm² or 2/0–500 kcmil. Mounting position is flexible: with the additional fan, the unit can be rotated ±90° on a vertical surface and tilted ±22.5° front/back; without the fan, rotation is limited to ±10°. Minimum clearances are 100 mm above, 75 mm below, and 5 mm at the sides — the top clearance is the critical one for heat plume rise from the thyristor stack.
