432 A at 40 °C — SIRIUS S12 soft starter for heavy motor starts
The 3RW4076-6BB35: It handles motor loads from 20 % minimum load up to the full 432 A, with adjustable current limitation and built-in motor overload protection. Operating frequency is 50/60 Hz, control supply voltage 115 V at both frequencies. The thyristor output stage provides smooth voltage ramp-up, reducing mechanical shock on pumps, conveyors, and compressors.
Derating and mounting — panel integration notes
Current derates with ambient: 385 A at 50 °C, 335 A at 60 °C. The derating temperature threshold is 40 °C — above that, the output current must be reduced per the manufacturer's curve. Mounting is screw-fixing to a vertical surface. With the additional fan, the unit can be rotated ±90° or tilted ±22.5° front/back; without the fan, rotation is limited to ±10°. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2 means it tolerates conductive dust in industrial environments. Minimum clearances around the unit: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 5 mm at the sides. Main circuit connection uses busbar or cable: stranded 70–240 mm², finely stranded 50–240 mm², or AWG 2/0–500 kcmil. Dual clamping points accept up to 2x 500 kcmil.
