It uses thyristor technology and includes an integrated bypass contact system, which means the bypass contactor carries the full-load current after the start, reducing heat dissipation in the soft starter during continuous operation.
The 62 A rating applies at 40 °C ambient. The derating temperature threshold is 40 °C, so no reduction is needed below that.
Motor protection and control features
The minimum load is 8% of the rating, which covers small pumps and fans. The inside-delta circuit configuration is supported, which reduces the soft starter current rating to 58% of the motor FLA for delta-connected motors — a common wiring scheme to downsize the starter.
Screw fixing is the fastening method. Clearance distances: 100 mm upward, 75 mm downward, 5 mm at the sides. Main current circuit uses box terminals accepting stranded 2x (4 to 50 mm²) or solid 2x (0.25 to 1.5 mm²). Auxiliary and control circuits use spring-loaded terminals for 2x (24 to 16 AWG). Maximum wire length to the motor is 500 m.
The operating frequency is 50 to 60 Hz.
