What this soft starter does on your line
It operates on 50/60 Hz supplies and is designed for motor starting applications where controlled acceleration and deceleration reduce mechanical stress and inrush current. It uses thyristors for the main switching element and includes motor overload protection and intrinsic device protection, so the unit itself is monitored for faults. The adjustable current limitation lets you set the starting current profile to match the load. The part supports inside-delta circuit configuration.
Mounting is by screw fixing, with the unit designed for a vertical mounting surface. It can be rotated ±90° or tilted ±22.5° front-to-back, giving flexibility in panel layout. Clearance requirements: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, and only 5 mm at the sides — tight side clearance helps fit into crowded enclosures. Dimensions are 170 mm wide, 200 mm high, and 270 mm deep. The main current circuit uses busbar connection; wire sizes for stranded conductors range 25–120 mm², finely stranded 16–95 mm², and solid conductors 0.25–1.5 mm² for auxiliary contacts. Maximum wire length from the starter to the motor is 500 m. Derating starts at 40 °C: at 50 °C the rating drops to 173 A, at 60 °C to 152 A. Operating ambient temperature during operation is 60 °C; storage range is -25 to +80 °C.
