It uses thyristors for the motor ramp and includes motor overload protection as well as adjustable current limitation. The inside-delta circuit configuration reduces the current draw through the main contacts, which is a common choice for larger motors in pump, fan, and conveyor applications.
Above 40 °C, it derates to 203 A at 50 °C and 173 A at 60 °C, so for a motor pulling 200 A in a 50 °C cabinet, this unit fits. The minimum load of 8 % means it can start lightly loaded motors without tripping. The 690 V insulation voltage (rated impulse withstand) covers 400 V and 480 V systems with margin, even in pollution degree 3 environments per IEC 60947-4-2 — typical for industrial panels with conductive dust or humidity.
Mounts with screw fixing on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° or tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. Dimensions are 200 mm high, 170 mm wide, 270 mm deep — plan for the depth when laying out the panel. The main circuit uses busbar connection; stranded cable from 25 to 120 mm² or fine-stranded 16 to 95 mm². Control wiring accepts solid 0.5–2.5 mm². Keep 100 mm clearance above and 75 mm below for airflow; 5 mm side clearance is enough.
