Inside-delta wiring and adjustable current limit
The 3RW4446-6BC45: Supports inside-delta circuit connection — this lets you run the starter on the motor windings rather than the line side, cutting the current the starter sees by roughly 58 % compared to standard in-line wiring. Adjustable current limitation means you set the start current profile to the load — conveyors, pumps, compressors — without swapping hardware taps.
Mounting and physical fit in the panel
Mounts with screw fixing; the enclosure accepts a vertical mounting surface with ±90° rotation and ±22.5° tilt front-to-back — useful when the panel layout forces a non-flat orientation. Dimensions are 230 mm high, 210 mm wide, 298 mm deep — the depth is the dimension that usually conflicts with shallow back-panel enclosures.
Protection and wiring terminals
Includes motor overload protection and intrinsic device protection — the starter monitors both the motor and its own thyristors, so a single device covers the branch. Main current circuit terminates via busbar connection; the main contact terminals accept stranded 70–240 mm² or 2/0–500 kcmil — common for the 600 A class.
