Integrated bypass and inside-delta topology
Integrated bypass contact system means the thyristors are shorted out once the motor is up to speed — no continuous heat dissipation from the silicon stack during run. The thyristors themselves are rated for the start duty only, which keeps the enclosure size down. Inside-delta circuit wiring reduces the current the starter sees by about 42 % compared to standard in-line connection — a 1065 A starter wired inside-delta handles a motor that would otherwise need a ~1800 A unit. That saves panel space and busbar cost.
Mounting and connection — panel integration
Fastening method is screw fixing with a vertical mounting surface; the unit is rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front/back. That gives flexibility for tight enclosures but means the mounting plate needs to carry the full 640 mm height × 510 mm width × 290 mm depth footprint. Main current circuit connects via busbar — the terminal range accepts stranded 70–240 mm², finely stranded 50–240 mm², and AWG 2/0–500 kcmil. Clearance distances: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 5 mm at the sides. Protection and diagnostics — less external hardware needed
Built-in motor overload protection, intrinsic device protection (over-temperature, phase loss), and adjustable current limitation. That means you can skip the separate overload relay in many panels — one less component to wire and set. Display for fault signals and external reset input. During commissioning, the display shows the fault code directly — no laptop needed to figure out why it tripped.
