The 3RW4455-2BC46: The derating temperature threshold is 40 °C — above that, the continuous current drops linearly. For a 50 °C panel ambient, budget the 1065 A figure as the usable rating.
Integrated bypass and inside-delta topology
Integrated bypass contact system means the thyristors are shorted out after start, eliminating heat dissipation in the power stack during run. Inside-delta circuit configuration reduces the current through each thyristor leg — the soft starter sees phase-to-phase voltage rather than line-to-neutral, which lowers the per-device current requirement for a given motor power.
Protection and control features
Motor overload protection, intrinsic device protection, and adjustable current limitation are all onboard. External reset input allows remote fault clearing. A display shows fault signals — no separate HMI needed for diagnostics. Motor brake output is included as a product component.
Mounting and connection details
Screw fixing to a vertical mounting surface; the unit can be rotated ±90° or tilted ±22.5° front/back. Main current circuit uses busbar connection; main wire range is 2/0–500 kcmil (stranded 70–240 mm², finely stranded 50–240 mm²). Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2.
Dimensions and clearances
