What this soft starter carries
The Siemens 3RW4466-2BC35 is a SIRIUS soft starter rated 2103 A at 40 °C (1864 A at 50 °C, 1680 A at 60 °C) with a 690 V insulation voltage. It includes an integrated bypass contact system, motor overload protection, adjustable current limitation, and an external reset. The unit uses thyristors for the power stage and supports inside-delta circuit wiring. Control supply is 115 V at both 50 and 60 Hz.
Mounting is screw fixing on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front/back. Dimensions are 780 mm high, 575 mm wide, 292 mm deep. Clearance: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 5 mm at the sides. Main circuit connections accept busbar or stranded 70–240 mm² (finely stranded 50–240 mm²) or solid 2/0–500 kcmil. Auxiliary and control circuit terminals are spring-loaded, accepting 2x (0.25–1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (24–16 AWG). Maximum motor wire length is 500 m.

Operating ambient temperature is 60 °C; storage range is -25 to +80 °C. Derating begins at 40 °C. Pollution degree 3 per IEC 60947-4-2. The unit has a display for fault signals, intrinsic device protection, and a motor brake output component.
