The Siemens 3RW4900-0KC00 is a SIRIUS communication module that integrates a 3RW44 soft starter into a PROFIBUS network as a DPV1 slave. From module firmware version E04 and higher (or date of manufacture May 1, 2009 or later), DPV1 operation on a Y-link is also supported; earlier firmware versions are limited to DPV0. The soft starter itself must carry firmware version E06 or higher for compatibility with this module, a requirement that applies to starters shipped from May 2006 onward.
At 36.6 mm wide, 117.3 mm tall, and 88.6 mm deep, this module occupies a single standard DIN-rail slot alongside the 3RW44 soft starter in the control panel. The compact width leaves room for additional control components on the same rail.
