Fieldbus and integration note
The 3RW5056-2TB15: Communication options cover PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP, with PROFIenergy support available when paired with a PROFINET standard communication module. This makes it straightforward to integrate into most industrial Ethernet or fieldbus topologies without a separate gateway.
Trip class and motor protection
Trip class is selectable as CLASS 10A, CLASS 10E (preset), or CLASS 20E per IEC 60947-4-2. CLASS 10A suits standard induction motors with short acceleration times; CLASS 20E provides extended ramp time for high-inertia loads like centrifuges or large fans. The preset CLASS 10E is a common starting point for general-purpose motor starting. A minimum load setting of 15% relative to the smallest settable Ie prevents nuisance tripping on lightly loaded motors. Soft torque and voltage ramp functions are included, along with pump ramp down for controlled deceleration in fluid-handling applications.
Mounting is by screw fixing on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. Clearance requirements: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, 5 mm at the sides, and 0 mm backwards — plan enclosure depth accordingly. Shock resistance is 15 g / 11 ms, dropping to 12 g / 11 ms with potential contact lifting. The 249 mm depth and 120 mm width fit standard 600 mm deep enclosures.
