Its trip class is selectable between CLASS 10A, 10E (preset), and 20E per IEC 60947-4-2, which means it can handle both standard and heavy-starting loads — class 10A for pump/fan starts, class 20E for high-inertia conveyors or crushers where the start time stretches. The part carries ATEX and IECEx certification, so it is approved for use in explosive atmospheres where a soft starter's controlled ramp prevents sparking from direct-on-line contactors.
