The 3RW5074-2TB05: Rated for a minimum motor FLA of 135 A at a line voltage range of 200 to 600 V, this frame covers the majority of low-voltage induction motors in pump, fan, and compressor duty across 50/60 Hz networks.
Trip class and starting profiles per IEC 60947-4-2
The soft starter offers selectable trip classes CLASS 10A, 10E (preset), and 20E in accordance with IEC 60947-4-2. CLASS 20E extends the window for high-inertia starts where acceleration time exceeds 10 seconds. Built-in voltage ramp and pump ramp down profiles let you tailor the start and stop to the load: voltage ramp reduces inrush torque on conveyors or crushers; pump ramp down eliminates pressure surges on discharge lines during stop.
Fieldbus and network integration
The base unit supports PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET — no separate communication module needed for most plant-floor networks. PROFIenergy is available when paired with the PROFINET standard communication module, allowing energy-management data collection during idle phases. Remote reset is achieved by cycling the 24 V DC control supply voltage — no fieldbus command required for a simple restart after a fault clears. The error logbook function is available only with special accessories; factor that into commissioning if event-logging is required.
Mounting and thermal derating
Screw fixing on a vertical mounting surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. Clearance requirements: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, 0 mm backwards, 5 mm at the sides. The 230 x 282 x 160 mm envelope fits standard 600 mm deep enclosures with room for top-entry cables. Shock resistance is 15 g / 11 ms, dropping to 12 g / 11 ms if potential contact lifting is a concern.
