Trip class and motor protection profile
The 3RW5076-6AB15: Trip class is selectable as CLASS 10A, 10E (preset), or 20E per IEC 60947-4-2. CLASS 10A suits standard motor starts with a short acceleration time; The preset 10E is a common middle ground for general-purpose pumps and fans. The soft starter supports voltage ramp, soft torque, and pump ramp down profiles — the pump ramp down feature gradually reduces voltage to prevent water hammer on stop, a specific need for wastewater and irrigation applications.
Fieldbus and control integration
Onboard fieldbus options include PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP, plus PROFIenergy support when paired with the PROFINET communication module. This covers the major industrial Ethernet and serial networks, so the starter drops into most control architectures without a gateway. The analog output is configurable as 4-20 mA (default) or 0-10 V, parameterizable via the High Feature HMI accessory. Remote reset is available by cycling the control supply voltage — useful for unattended restart after a fault.
Mounting and environmental limits
Dimensions are 282 mm depth, 160 mm width, 230 mm height, with screw fixing to the mounting plate. Clearance requirements: 100 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 75 mm downwards, 5 mm at the sides — plan the enclosure layout accordingly to avoid derating from restricted airflow. Shock resistance is 15 g for 11 ms, with potential contact lifting at 12 g / 11 ms — the starter is mechanically robust for industrial environments but the contact lifting threshold matters for vibration-prone installations.
CE marking, UL approval, and CSA approval are all listed. ATEX, UKEX, and IECEx certifications are present for explosive atmosphere duty. The product category is hybrid switching devices — combines semiconductor and electromechanical switching for reduced heat dissipation during run.
