Rated current and thermal derating — the real panel limit
The 3RW5134-1XC14 is rated 196 A at 40 °C ambient, derating to 175 A at 50 °C. That 21 A drop matters when the panel runs warm — size the upstream protection and cabling for the 50 °C figure if the enclosure sees summer shop-floor temps. Trip class is selectable: default CLASS 10A, with 10E and 20E options per IEC 60947-4-2.
Fieldbus and control — what talks to the PLC
Onboard PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, and PROFINET interfaces mean this unit slots into Siemens S7 or third-party controllers without an external gateway. The analog output defaults to 4–20 mA but can be parameterized to 0–10 V via the High Feature HMI. Control supply uses screw-type terminals — no special tooling needed for field wiring. Remote reset is supported by cycling the control supply voltage, and auto-reset is configurable for unattended restart after a fault clears.
Mounting and clearances — panel layout constraints
Screw fixing to a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. Minimum clearances: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 10 mm forward, 5 mm sideways — these are for airflow and arc-flash containment, not optional. Dimensions are 324 mm high × 185 mm wide × 203 mm deep. The 185 mm width fits a standard 600 mm cabinet bay with room for side-mounted auxiliary contactors or overload relays.
