Trip class and motor protection
The 3RW5235-2TC15 ships with CLASS 10A as the default trip class per IEC 60947-4-2, with selectable CLASS 10E and CLASS 20E for heavier starting duty — meaning you can match the overload curve to the load inertia without swapping the device. Minimum settable motor current is 68 A, so it fits a 68 A FLA motor on the low end of its range.
Fieldbus and control integration
This soft starter carries onboard PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET — five protocols in one unit, so it drops into a Siemens S7 or Rockwell ControlLogix chassis without a gateway. PROFIenergy is supported when paired with the PROFINET communication module. Remote reset is handled by cycling the control supply voltage.
Mounting, clearances, and environment
Screw-fixed mounting on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front/back. Required clearances: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 10 mm in front, 5 mm at the sides, 0 mm behind. Dimensions are 306 mm high, 185 mm wide, 203 mm deep.
Voltage range and approvals
Rated operating voltage is 200 to 600 V, covering 208 V, 240 V, 480 V, and 600 V nominal systems at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. UL, CSA, and CE approvals are in place, so it ships into North American and European panels without a separate certification review.
