Motor-starting duty and trip class
The 3RW5247-2AC14: Rated 200... 480 V with a minimum setting of 200 A, so it covers standard 400 VAC three-phase motor loads up to roughly 250 kW depending on service factor and duty cycle. Trip class defaults to CLASS 10A per IEC 60947-4-2, with selectable 10E and 20E for higher-inertia starts — the 10A setting protects standard squirrel-cage motors during acceleration without nuisance tripping on normal start curves.
Fieldbus and control interface
Supports PROFIBUS, PROFINET (with PROFIenergy via the standard communication module), Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP. The analog output is configurable 4... 20 mA or 0... 10 V through the High Feature HMI. Remote reset is handled by cycling the control supply voltage. Screw-fixing mount on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5°.
Clearences and thermal limits
Minimum clearances: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, 5 mm at the side — essential for airflow and safe isolation in a panel. Operating temperature range –25... +60 °C with derating above 40 °C. Shock resistance 15 g / 11 ms. Minimum load is 15 % of the smallest settable Ie.
Lifecycle and approvals
Listed as current production. Carries CE, UL, and CSA approvals — accepted across North American and European panels without additional certification cost.
