Soft starter for motor starting duty

The 3RW5247-6AC14: The 200 A floor means it handles motor full-load currents from 200 A upward, so it fits larger pump, fan, and compressor applications where reduced-voltage starting limits inrush.

Fieldbus integration and control

This unit ships with onboard PROFINET standard, PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP — no separate communication module needed for most networks. The analog output defaults to 4-20 mA but can be parameterized to 0-10 V via the High Feature HMI accessory. Remote reset is supported by cycling the control supply voltage, and auto-reset is configurable.

Mounting and environment

Screw fixing to a vertical mounting surface; the unit can be rotated ±90° and tilted ±22.5° front-to-back. Clearance requirements: 100 mm above, 75 mm below, 10 mm forward, 5 mm at the sides, 0 mm backward. Shock resistance is 15 g / 11 ms, dropping to 12 g / 11 ms if contact lifting is a concern.
