Trip class flexibility and voltage range
The 3RW5525-1HA06: Trip class is configurable between CLASS 10A, 10E (default), 20E, and 30E per IEC 60947-4-2. The rated voltage covers 200 to 690 V, which handles most global supply systems from 208 V to 600 V without a transformer.
Fieldbus connectivity and control features
Communication options include PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP, plus PROFINET with PROFIenergy capability when fitted with the appropriate communication module. The unit also supports DC braking and combined braking, which can be configured to stop the motor faster than coasting — useful for conveyors or pumps where backspin is undesirable. Torque control and a breakaway pulse are available for starting high-friction loads like screw compressors or belt conveyors.
Temperature derating and panel clearance
Minimum clearance around the unit: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, 5 mm sideways, and 0 mm backwards. That means the unit can be mounted flush against the back panel, saving depth in the enclosure. Dimensions are 185 mm wide, 306 mm high, and 203 mm deep.
Approvals and compliance documentation
CE, UL, and CSA approvals are all confirmed on this order code, covering European and North American installations. Accuracy class 5 per IEC 61557-12 applies to the integrated metering function. The unit also includes a service factor of 1.15, so it can handle continuous overloads up to 115 % of the rated current without tripping.
