The trip class range — CLASS 10A / 10E (default) / 20E / 30E per IEC 60947-4-2 — means you select the overload protection curve to match the motor start profile: CLASS 10E for normal starts, 20E or 30E for high-inertia loads like fans or centrifuges where the start time exceeds 10 seconds. The default 10E setting suits most pump and conveyor applications. ATEX and IECEx certification (both Yes) qualifies this unit for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres — Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21, Zone 22 — when paired with appropriate upstream protection and enclosure. For audit purposes, the ATEX marking is factory-issued, not a field-add-on sticker. Above that, the continuous current capability must be reduced per the thermal derating curve.
Fieldbus and control integration
This soft starter supports Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and EtherNet/IP natively — no separate communication module required for these protocols. PROFIBUS is also listed as supported. For PROFINET networks, the unit works with the PROFINET Standard and PROFINET High-Feature communication modules, and includes PROFIenergy capability for energy management during idle phases. The analog output is configurable as 4-20 mA (default) or 0-10 V, providing a linear signal proportional to motor current, torque, or power — useful for feeding a PLC analog input or a remote panel meter without a separate transducer. DC braking, voltage ramp, torque control, and breakaway pulse are all available as starting/stopping methods. The pump ramp down feature reduces pressure surges on pump start/stop cycles. Combined braking (DC + mechanical) is also supported.

Physical mounting and clearances
Dimensions are 185 mm width, 306 mm height, 203 mm depth. Required clearances around the unit: 100 mm upwards, 75 mm downwards, 10 mm forwards, 0 mm backwards, and 5 mm at the side. These clearances ensure adequate airflow for the internal heatsink — insufficient clearance voids the thermal rating.
