Safety switch with ASIsafe for guarded zones
The Siemens SIRIUS 3SF1114-1KA00-1BA1 is a mechanical safety switch with slow-action, positive-opening contacts — the contacts are mechanically forced open when the actuator is removed, even if they weld shut. That positive-opening feature makes it suitable for use in safety circuits per IEC 60947-5-1, typically guarding access doors or movable guards on production lines. Two safety-related NC contacts provide the redundant signal path a safety relay or safety PLC expects. The switch communicates its status via ASIsafe through the M12 plug, so the safety signal travels over the same AS-Interface cable as standard I/O — no separate safety wiring loom needed.
Rated for wet, dusty environments
With IP66/IP67 ingress protection and a metal housing with cathodic dip coating, this switch handles washdown zones, outdoor installations, and dusty enclosures without a secondary cover. The 24 V LED gives a quick visual on the switch status at a glance — useful when the guard is closed and you can't see the actuator position. Mount in any orientation using the screw-fixing method. The block-style housing is 40 mm wide and 99.7 mm long — fits standard machine-frame profiles. Rated for 30g shock and 5g vibration, so it stays put on press brakes, packaging machines, and conveyor transfer stations.
