Safety position switch with tumbler and AS-Interface
The Siemens SIRIUS 3SF1324-1SF21-1BA1 is a mechanical safety switch with a separate actuator and tumbler mechanism, designed for guard door monitoring on machinery where a positive-opening contact is required per EN ISO 14119. Its 1 300 N locking force holds the guard closed against process forces or machine vibration, and the positive-opening switching function ensures the NC contacts break mechanically even if welded — a critical safety feature for PL d / SIL 2 applications.
The 1 300 N locking force secures heavy or pneumatically loaded guard doors where a standard 1 000 N switch would risk release under pressure. Repeat accuracy of 0.1 mm detects actuator misalignment before the guard is fully closed.
