The Siemens 3SF5811-2AA10 is an emergency-stop pushbutton integrated into an AS-Interface enclosure — a single-box safety device that puts the E-stop right on the AS-i bus, no separate I/O needed. It carries both EMERGENCY-STOP and EMERGENCY OFF functions, so it covers the two main stop categories in a safety circuit. The metal housing and IP67 rating mean it takes washdown and dust on a machine frame or conveyor line, not just a dry cabinet.
The 22 mm mounting diameter fits standard panel cutouts. The square metal enclosure (85 mm × 85 mm, 65 mm deep) mounts vertically with a rotate-to-unlatch mechanism. On the AS-i side, it is an F slave with 2 inputs. One slave address covers the E-stop contacts and a second input. The positive-opening contacts guarantee mechanical break.
Panel and integration notes
The enclosure mounts vertically on a machine frame or sub-panel; the 85 mm × 85 mm footprint leaves room alongside contactors or relays in a typical junction box. The AS-i cable connects via the standard flat cable piercing technique — no separate power supply needed for the slave, it draws its operating voltage from the AS-i bus (30 V DC rated). The two labels (black on yellow) are included; the front ring and protective collar are not fitted, so the actuator sits flush. Storage range -40 to +80 °C, operating -25 to +70 °C — fine for unheated factory floors.
