The Siemens 3SF5900-0CK is a connection element — a cable-entry gland that routes a round cable into an AS-i enclosure. It's rated IP67, so the seal holds up in washdown zones or damp panel interiors. The M25 thread matches standard knockouts on plastic or metal AS-i boxes with 4 to 6 control points. Fastening is direct mounting — no DIN rail, no adapter plate. You drill or punch the enclosure, tighten the locknut, and run the cable through. The operating range is -25 to +70 °C, which covers most indoor and outdoor cabinet environments short of a freezer line.
