Motor branch monitoring without the extra wiring
The 3UF7101-1AA00-0 is a SIRIUS current measuring module that sits in the motor feeder between the contactor and the overload relay — or replaces the overload relay entirely when paired with a SIRIUS 3UF7 evaluation unit. It measures current and provides overload protection with a CLASS 5E trip characteristic, meaning it tracks the thermal load of the motor winding over time and trips on a sustained overcurrent, not just an instantaneous spike. Rated voltage covers 110-690 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, so it fits standard North American 480 V and European 400 V motor circuits without a separate voltage tap. The module draws only 0.2 W from the control circuit — negligible for the bus power budget in a dense panel.
IP20 means it is intended for enclosed panels only; no washdown or outdoor exposure. Vibration resistance is rated at 1-6 Hz / 15 mm and 6-500 Hz / 2 g, which covers the typical shake from contactor pick-up and nearby rotating machinery inside a panel. Altitude derating applies above 2000 m: full spec up to 2000 m, then 3000 m max with +50 °C ambient limit, and 4000 m max with +40 °C limit — relevant for high-altitude installations like mining or mountain-site conveyors.
UKCA certification (ITS21UKEX0464) is on file, covering the UK market. The module carries RoHS substance prohibition dated 05/28/2009, which aligns with the original RoHS directive.
