What This Module Does
The Siemens 3UF7110-1AA01-0 is a SIRIUS current/voltage measuring module that handles 110-690 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. It detects current, voltage, frequency, energy consumption and ground faults — a single device for motor protection and energy monitoring in a control panel. Overload protection follows trip class CLASS 5E, which means it trips fast enough to protect motor windings from sustained overloads. Energy measurement accuracy is ±5 % in the 0.25–8 A range and ±10 % from 8–32 A, both at 0.85 x 110 V … 1.1 x 690 V, cos φ 0.5–1, 25 °C.
Mounting and Wiring
Mounts by screw or snap-on on DIN rail — any position. At 45 mm wide, 84 mm tall, 64 mm deep, it occupies one standard 45 mm slot. Top and bottom clearance of 30 mm each gives room for cable entry and air flow. IP20 for protected indoor panels. Terminals accept 1x 0.25–2.5 mm² solid or 2x 0.25–1.0 mm² stranded (AWG 24–14 solid, 20–14 stranded). Vibration resistance: 1–6 Hz / 15 mm, 6–500 Hz / 2 g; 1 g if snapped onto a basic unit.
Integrator Notes for the Sourcing Decision
If your BOM calls for a motor protection module with voltage sensing and ground-fault monitoring under 110–690 V AC, the 3UF7110-1AA01-0 covers all three in one 45 mm unit. The 0.5 W power consumption and inrush current up to 40 A (10× Io) are within typical backplane budgets. Specify it confidently as an active, widely stocked SIRIUS component.
