Active Production, IECEx-Certified Motor Protection
The 3UF7123-1AA01-0: It carries IECEx certification (IECEx PTB 18.0004X) and UKCA Ex approvals (ITS21UKEX0464, ITS21UKEX0455X), making it suitable for installation in Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas where the module monitors motor current, voltage, and power.
Trip Class 5E and Multi-Parameter Measurement
Rated Trip Class 5E means the module provides electronic overload protection with a Class 5 trip curve — the standard for motor protection in IEC applications, offering faster response than traditional bimetal relays while maintaining coordination with upstream breakers. It measures current, voltage, power, frequency, and energy across a 110-690 V AC range at 50/60 Hz, with energy measurement accuracy of +/- 5% from 47 to 1260 A and +/- 10% from 400 to 1600 A (at 25 °C, cos phi 0.5-1). The module draws 0.5 W active power and handles an inrush current up to 2000 A (10 x Io), which covers motor starting transients without nuisance tripping.
Panel Integration and Environmental Limits
Rated IP20 (finger-safe terminals only, no washdown protection), so it belongs in a sealed control cabinet, not on the machine frame. Accepts solid conductors 1x (0.5-4 mm²) or 2x (0.5-2.5 mm²), and stranded AWG 1x (20-14) or 2x (20-16). Vibration resistance is 1-6 Hz / 15 mm and 6-500 Hz / 2 g (1 g with the basic unit snapped on).
Altitude Derating and Protective Separation
Between 2000-3000 m, the maximum ambient temperature drops to +50 °C with no protective separation required; from 3000-4000 m, the limit is +40 °C without protective separation.
