Panel fit and wiring
The 3UF7400-1AA00-0: Module snaps onto a DIN rail or screws down — both methods supported. Width is 22.5 mm, so it eats half a standard single-pitch slot. But note the clearance: you need 40 mm free above and 40 mm below the module (left and right can be zero). That top/bottom gap is for airflow or cable bend; ignore it and you'll fight the cover later. Wire size range: solid 1x (0.5...4.0 mm²) or 2x (0.5...2.5 mm²), stranded 1x (20...12 AWG) or 2x (20...14 AWG). 2-wire connection per channel. Shield recommendations: up to 30 m inside the cabinet it's suggested; beyond 30 m or when exiting the cabinet, shield is required.
Where it runs
Operating -25 to +60 °C, storage -40 to +80 °C. Mount any orientation. Altitude: up to 2 000 m; at 3 000 m ≤50 °C; at 4 000 m ≤40 °C, both no protective separation.
