The Siemens 3UG3014-1BL60 is a SIRIUS-brand active power monitoring relay — it watches real power consumption on a motor or load and trips an output when the power goes above or below a set threshold. That makes it useful for detecting a broken belt, a jammed conveyor, a pump running dry, or a heater element that's failed open. The relay measures current from 0.2 A up to 10 A and operates on a supply voltage of 196 to 265 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
The measurable current range of 0.2 to 10 A sets the load you can monitor. Below 0.2 A you won't get a reliable reading; above 10 A you need an external current transformer. The relay's own output contacts are rated 3 A at 250 VAC and also 3 A at 400 VAC (50/60 Hz), so it can directly switch a contactor coil or a PLC input without an interposing relay in most panel voltages. Time delays are adjustable: a start-up delay from 0.3 to 3 seconds to avoid nuisance trips during motor inrush, and a response delay on limit violation from 0.5 to 20 seconds for filtering out transient power dips. The repeat accuracy is 1 % of the set point, which is tight enough for process monitoring. The relay uses snap-on mounting and measures 45 mm wide, 100 mm tall, and 100 mm deep. IP20 protection is for cabinet use only.
This is a current-production Siemens SIRIUS component.
