Siemens 3UG4983-1AA01 is a SIRIUS voltage reducer module. It monitors AC or DC voltage up to 690 V and scales it down for a downstream monitoring relay or PLC input.
The 0–690 V AC input range means this module works on standard low-voltage systems (230/400/480 V) and up to 690 V industrial networks without an external PT. The 15–400 Hz frequency acceptance covers both 50/60 Hz mains and variable-frequency drive outputs or generator sets — useful if you're monitoring voltage on the line side of a VFD or on a genset bus. IP20 protection is fine for enclosed cabinets; not for wet or dusty locations. Screw-type terminals accept solid wire 20–12 AWG and stranded 18–14 AWG, with a tightening torque of 0.6–0.8 N·m — standard for field wiring. The adjustable open/closed-circuit current principle lets you configure the output relay response for fail-safe or normal operation.
