The Siemens 3UG5207-2G is a 2-pole bow electrode for lateral installation, part of the SIRIUS 3UG5 level monitoring family. It detects conductive liquid levels — think sump alarms, tank overfill prevention, or pump dry-run protection in a wet mill environment. The bow shape and lateral mount let it reach into a vessel from the side, which keeps the probe out of the main flow and avoids mechanical damage from turbulence or debris.
This is a 2-pole probe — two stainless steel rods form the sensing electrodes. The bow shape means the rods are curved, giving a wider detection field in a lateral (side-entry) installation. It works with any SIRUS 3UG5 level relay (e.g., 3UG5 1- or 3-pole units) that supplies the measuring voltage and evaluates the conductivity path between the electrodes. The probe itself carries no electronics; all the switching logic lives in the relay module. That keeps the probe simple, rugged, and field-replaceable without reprogramming.
