The Siemens 3UG5511-2BR20 is a monitoring relay for phase sequence detection on three-phase supplies from 160 to 690 V AC, 15 to 70 Hz. It reports phase rotation order and loss via two changeover contacts terminated on spring-loaded terminals — no screwdriver needed for wiring, which shaves time off panel assembly and re-termination.
The 160–690 V AC range covers standard low-voltage motor supplies (400 V, 480 V, 690 V) without needing a separate voltage variant. Two changeover contacts give independent signalling to a PLC and a local alarm lamp from the same relay. No torquing, no screw check during commissioning — just strip to 8–10 mm and push in. For a panel with a dozen monitoring relays, that adds up to real labour savings.
