The Siemens 3UG5522-2AW30 is an analog current monitoring relay that covers a 0.05 to 10 A AC/DC sensing range, suitable for both overcurrent and undercurrent detection on a motor or load line. Supply voltage is 24 to 240 V AC/DC at 50/60 Hz. The trip delay is adjustable from 0.5 to 30 seconds, letting you ignore harmless inrush spikes (like motor start-up) while still catching sustained faults.
Output and wiring
A single changeover (CO) contact provides the alarm or trip signal — enough for one PLC input or a shunt-trip coil, but not for dual-path fail-safe logic without an interposing relay. Spring-loaded terminals (cage clamp) accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded wire, so no screwdriver torque check — strip 8–10 mm and push in.
