The Siemens 3UG5625-1CW30 is a digital monitoring relay for residual current, part of the Residual current monitoring relays family. It requires an external current transformer (3UL23) and covers an adjustment range of 0.03 to 40 A, with a supply voltage of 24 to 240 V AC/DC at 50/60 Hz. On-delay and tripping delay are independently settable from 0.1 to 999.9 seconds, and the output is two changeover contacts on screw terminals.
The 0.03 to 40 A adjustment range means this relay can monitor leakage from a few milliamps (sensitive for personnel protection) up to 40 A (equipment ground-fault levels on larger feeders). The wide supply voltage — 24 to 240 V AC/DC — lets it run on control power or line voltage without a separate power supply module. The 0.1 to 999.9 s timing range covers both fast tripping (for shock protection) and delayed trip (to ride through inrush or transient leakage). Two changeover contacts give one N/O and one N/C per contact, enough to signal a fault and latch a shunt trip in the same device.
