What it is — and what it does in your panel
The 3VA1010-2ED36-0JC0: Breaking capacity runs 52.5 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 32 kA at 415 V, 13.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That covers most industrial supply voltages; the 690 V rating matters for 600 V class panels common in North American heavy industry. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V. Thermal derating is mild: holds 100 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then steps down to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. For a panel running at 50 °C ambient — typical for a closed electrical room — you get full 100 A without downsizing the breaker.
Built-in auxiliary hardware saves panel space
This breaker ships with two auxiliary switches (HQ type) and a shunt trip (STL) integrated — no separate add-on modules to wire in. That saves a DIN-rail position and cuts wiring time. The shunt trip lets you remotely trip the breaker from a PLC output or emergency-stop circuit. The auxiliary switches report position back to the controller or status lamp. Dimensions: 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall. Standard 3-pole MCCB footprint — drops into the same panel cutout as other SENTRON 3VA1 frames. Maximum power loss is 25 W at full load — accounts for in panel thermal calculations.
Lifecycle and sourcing: active, no LTB pressure
The base switch assembly (3VA10102ED360AA0) is the core; the -0JC0 suffix adds the shunt trip and auxiliary switches as factory-installed options. No field retrofitting required.
