What it is and what it does in the panel
The 3VA1010-2ED36-0KC0: This MCCB carries two integrated auxiliary switches (HQ design) for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator panel, plus a shunt trip (STL) release for remote emergency tripping. The shunt trip order code is 3VA9688-0BL33 — order that separately if remote trip is needed. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module on this variant; it is a straight line-protection breaker with basic signaling.
Current derating and thermal limits
Rated 100 A continuous at 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C ambient. Derating begins at 55 °C (96 A), then 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. The operating ambient range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage from -40 °C to +80 °C. Mounting in a sealed, non-ventilated enclosure will raise internal ambient — account for that when loading the breaker near its nameplate. The IP40 front protection means no water jets from the panel face; the breaker is not rated for washdown environments.
Mechanical fit and auxiliary wiring
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. The 3-pole width of 76.2 mm is standard for this frame size — it drops into the same DIN-rail or screw-mount footprint as other 3VA10 frame breakers. The two HQ auxiliary switches are wired via the integrated terminal block; no external add-on module needed for basic N/O and N/C status. Mechanical endurance rated at 15,000 operations — typical for a distribution MCCB not cycled daily.
