What this MCCB delivers in the panel
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-2ED36-0KH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 100 A continuously at 40 °C ambient without derating. At 55 °C it still holds 98 A, and at 70 °C it derates to 91 A — so in a warm enclosure you lose less than 10 % of the rating. Breaking capacity runs from 52.5 kA at 240 V down to 7.5 kA at 690 V, which covers most industrial service-entrance and feeder applications where fault currents are known. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) means it can sit on a 690 V bus with margin.
Auxiliary and release options built in
Factory-fitted with two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ type) and a shunt trip release (STL). The basic switch variant is 3VA10102ED360AA0. No undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring on this variant — those are separate order-code options if your spec requires them.
DIN-rail footprint and panel fit
Measures 76.2 mm wide (3 in), 130 mm tall (5.12 in), and 70 mm deep (2.76 in) — standard SENTRON 3VA1 footprint. Mounts on DIN rail or direct-panel; the depth leaves room behind the gland plate for wiring. Maximum power loss is 25 W, so factor that into enclosure thermal calculations if you are packing several breakers in a row.
Environmental range and handling
Operates from -25 °C to +70 °C ambient; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. The trip indicator and voltage-trigger status are present, so you get local visual feedback on the breaker state.
