The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-3ED32-0AC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection, carrying 100 A continuously at 40 °C with no derating up to 50 °C. It uses a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release — fixed thermal and magnetic trip settings, no electronic adjustment — making it a straight swap for panel designs that call for a basic, reliable MCCB without communication or ground-fault monitoring.
Interrupting capacity and selectivity
At 240 V the breaker interrupts 75.6 kA — enough for high-fault utility feeds. At 415 V it still clears 52.5 kA, dropping to 32 kA at 440 V and 7.5 kA at 500 V and 690 V. The 800 V rated insulation voltage means the internal clearance and creepage support use in 480/277 V and 600 V delta systems without de-rating the isolation.
Thermal derating and power loss
Full 100 A rating holds through 50 °C ambient. Above that it steps down: 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, 91 A at 70 °C. Maximum power dissipation is 25 W — useful for enclosure heat-calc when packing multiple breakers in a row. Operating range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C.
Physical fit and auxiliary configuration
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep. It ships with two factory-fitted HQ auxiliary switches — no separate add-on module needed for basic status feedback. Undervoltage release and shunt trip are not built in (no voltage trigger, no undervoltage release); if your circuit requires either, you add them externally or choose a variant that includes them.
