Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-3ED36-0BC0 — 100 A MCCB with undervoltage release
The Siemens 3VA1010-3ED36-0BC0 is a SENTRON 3VA1 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It carries a continuous current of 100 A at 40 °C, derating to 91 A at 70 °C — per the datasheet, the thermal curve is linear across that span, so panel ambient temperature directly governs the usable load. Breaking capacity is specified at five voltage points: 75.6 kA at 240 V AC, 52.5 kA at 415 V, 32 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That spread tells you the interrupting rating collapses above 440 V — at 690 V it is still 7.5 kA, which is adequate for most 690 V distribution but not for high-fault industrial feeders. Selectivity studies should use the 415 V figure for common 400 V systems. The 3-pole frame includes an undervoltage release (UVR) as standard, designated as design of the auxiliary release. Two HQ auxiliary switches are supplied basic. Insulation voltage is rated 800 V, and maximum power loss is 27.5 W — a figure to account for in enclosed panel thermal calculations.

Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. The storage minimum is the handling limit, not the running limit — the part can sit in a cold warehouse but must be at least -25 °C before energizing.
